Sketch it Saturday
Anatomy isn't always essential while drawing
But what I am here to talk about is the anatomy and how its not actually essential in drawing, im not saying its not relevant or its not needed but, you don't entirely need it, as all you need is to remember the basic shape of the body and the outline of the figure as you can see in my sketches and just draw.
The hardest part in drawing a figure and characters is the proportions and what you can see in my drawing above is that I have done the figure fine but what makes the sketch horrible to look at is the proportions, its one of my biggest weaknesses and its the most important and vital part in making realistic and beautiful characters and its something you all need to consider!!
So my advice to new artists and amateurs is that don't worry about the anatomy at all, just focus on getting the proportions right and then you will become a great artist sooner than everyone thinks, so take my advice and come back if you need more.
Remember this Process:
Light sketch - Proportions - Light Anatomy - Shading
Do Your Best, Focus Less
my sketch to the left is from imagination, no reference and the sketch to the right is from Photo reference.

Also there is a video on youtube to demonstrate my lack of skills in proportion, but anatomy is from imagination:
